Dialup Connection Setup in Windows METhese instructions will help you add and remove dialup connections to WorldSpice in Windows ME. Finding & Deleting Old Dialup ConnectionsOn the Start Menu, select Programs, then Accessories, then Communications, then Dial-Up Networking.
The Dial-Up Networking window will open. It may be helpful to delete old and unused dialup connections that were previously set up before creating a new one. Right click any connections that need to be deleted and select Delete from the menu.
Adding A New Dialup ConnectionTo create a new connection, double click Make New Connection. The wizard will open and ask you to type a name for the computer you are dialing. Type in WorldSpice. In the Select a device dropdown, select your modem. Click Next.
Type in the Phone number, 333-6000. If you have call waiting and would like to disable it when you dial in, use *70,333-6000. Click Next.
The wizard will tell you that you have successfully created the new connection. Click Finish.
Right click on the new connection and select Create Shortcut.
You will be asked if you want to create the shortcut on your desktop. Click Yes.
A shortcut will be created on you desktop. You can double-click this to quickly get connected.
When you try to connect, you will be presented with this window. Click the Connect button.
